Having knee arthritis and being overweight is like adding insult to injury. This is because knee arthritis restricts you from doing your daily chore of exercise or walking and without proper exercise or walking weight can not be reduced. Knee arthritis is very dangerous because it slowly destroys the body from within. A patient suffering from knee arthritis can experience immense pain in the knee or a feeling that the knee would break into two due to the rubbing of the bones or sometimes even swelling on the outer part of the knee. A patient suffering from knee arthritis can not stand for a longer duration of time. Walking up the staircase can be extremely difficult for a person who is suffering from knee arthritis. People who are suffering from minute pain can be treated with the help of medication and injections. Prevention is a good mode to fight against knee arthritis. Reducing weight is the most effective way. Another way is by bringing into practice various exercise.
